The Giant Who Had No Heart In Him

There once was a king with seven sons, he loved them so much he couldn't bear to be without at least one at all times. When they grew up he sent six away to find women to marry. So the six set out and found a princess for each of them. But on their way home a giant turned them into stone. When the six did not return home their father was so very sad. The other son wanted to find his brothers but his father would not let him. After a long time of begging and pleading with his father, he finally let him go to find them. He set off and on his way he found a raven who was starving so he felt it and the raven said that it could help him if needed. The prince kept going on his way. He then saw a salmon out of water, he put the salmon back in and it said that it could help him if needed. The prince went on his way when he found a wolf. This wolf was starving so it asked for his horse. The prince refused, but when it said he could ride it instead he agreed. Once the wolf was finished eating, the prince hopped on, The wolf was faster than anything he'd ever ridden. The wolf took him to the giant's house, and the prince went inside. The giant was out so he hid under his bed and that night while the giant and his princess talked she asked him where his heart was. He told her and the prince heard so he looked but the giant was lying.  So the next night she asked again. Once again the giant was lying. The next night she finally got him to tell the truth. It was far away so he rode the wolf. When he got there the keys were too high for him to reach so he called for the raven and it came and retrieved the keys for him. Once inside the heart was in a well so he called for the salmon. The salmon got the heart for him. Once he had the heart he threatened to tear it in two, so the giant turned his brothers and their princesses back from stone but he ripped the heart in half anyway. And so they all returned home with their princesses but the one who saved them had the prettiest of all, the giant's princess.
