On The Move
The Vikings wanted to move because the land in Scandinavia was infertile and was to rocky and mountainous to be able to farm. The population grew to much and they were running out of space, also they had horrible weather.

The raids that the Vikings carried out in Europe enabled them to settle in England, Ireland, France, Scotland, Wales, Germany and Spain.

The Viking became traders because they didn't have enough food or resources in their land. They also had some things that other countries wanted.

The Vikings main trades were walrus ivory, furs, farm produce, seal skins, timber, iron, wax and slaves. They traded for honey, silk, silver, gold, wheat, wine, spices, glass, salt and jewelry.
