Village Life
Vikings didn't really live in villages, they lived on isolated but regularly spaced farms. These farms were surrounded by fields of grain or paddocks with animals. In each area of farms the was usually a church and a big building to keep treasure in, these places were usually in the middle of all the farms.
They would usually live in longhouses which were buildings that were just one room, so it had animals, beds and a an area for cooking all in the same room.

What Did They Eat, Drink, Wear?

A Vikings diet consisted of porridge, bread, milk, seafood, meat, butter, cheese, pea, cabbage and cereals. They drank mead, brew and water. Vikings had two meals a day. One at noon, Dagmal (lunch) and the other at night, Nattmal (dinner).
The clothes that Vikings wore were made of wool, linen and animal skins. The Vikings were skilful weavers, they made their own clothes. The women of the village, with the help of the children, made yarn from wool and they used natural dyes from plants to give it color. Men typically wore tunics and trousers, while women would wear a long dress and a pinafore. They used belts and brooches to fasten their clothes.
